Travertine

About Travertine

A Terrestrial sedimentary stone formed by the compression of mineral deposits from natural springs. Travertine is a type of limestone that is similar but softer and extremely porous. Beautiful in design, travertine when cut into slabs will often leave a unique visual effect. Due to the unique geologic process of this stone, natural designs in the stone are hard to mimic.

Perfect for wall cladding, vanities, fireplace surroundings, and areas where heavy use and staining potential are minimal. As travertine lack high durability, it compensates with its exquisite beauty.

Material Care

A porous stone with many similarities to marble and granite. Due to its nature, we recommend to minimize liquid spills, sharp objects, heavy objects, and any acids on the stone countertop.

We recommend to annually re-seal product, however, this should be tailored to the specific product so please do not hesitate to reach out to our team.
